The Spirit of Taşkonaklar:
It all began in 2003, when our mother, Monique, fell in love with this enchanting landscape during a trip to Cappadocia. The historic house she saw in Uçhisar, with a single grapevine on its vine, represented the first step towards what is now the heart of Taşkonaklar.

What we initially envisioned as a home where we would spend just a few months of the year has, through years of investment and meticulously crafted stonework, transformed into a unique 25-room luxury hotel renowned for its exceptional guest service and unforgettable stay, drawing inspiration from a warm family atmosphere. Monique’s initial dream home now houses a much larger family, travelers from all over the world. You can still find her between June and November, sipping coffee on the terrace of her green-shuttered house right next to the hotel. And the grapevine where our story began is still with us; it continues to greet our guests with all its vibrancy every summer at the entrance of our hotel.
