“I was 14 years old when I went on a three day school holiday course at Archerfield airport in Queensland and from that moment on, I was hooked on all things flying.

I got my private pilot’s licence at 17, my commercial licence at 18 and my Air Transport Pilot Licence when I was 21, where I worked for general aviation companies around Australia for 8 years.

I joined QantasLink in 2016 and have been a Q400 captain for the last four years flying around regional Australia. I get to work with some really great people, and I also get the best office view in the world, the brilliant blues of the Queensland Whitsundays and the red dirt of the outback towns. Torres Strait is my favourite because flying into Horn Island is absolutely stunning.

But what I love most about flying with QantasLink is the lifestyle – I get to come home to my family after work and I have seen my little girl every day of her life, which is a something I’m very proud of.”
