Qantas celebrates the 100th birthday of former Qantas Hostess Kate Schouten
The year was 1952, a then 29 year old Kate Schouten was brimming with excitement to commence her career as a Qantas Hostess – and that was before she knew that during her years of flying she would be serenaded by old blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra, greet a world president and meet a Qantas engineer who would turn out to be her lifelong husband. While Kate hung up her wings many years ago, Qantas is still in her heart, so to celebrate her 100th birthday current Cabin Crew invited Kate in to Qantas HQ to celebrate the milestone and share flying stories. 100 years of fabulousness, Happy Birthday Kate.
