Qantas bans in-flight filming and taking photos of Crew

Qantas has implemented stricter measures against passengers capturing videos or photos during flights, prohibiting any recording of individuals without their explicit consent. A rising trend on platforms like TikTok and YouTube involves passengers documenting themselves, fellow travelers, and airline staff for content. Instances of individuals filming in-flight incidents, such as altercations between passengers and crew members, have been on the rise. Qantas has responded by incorporating these restrictions into its Conditions of Carriage, mandatory for all passengers as part of their travel agreement. “To maximise Passenger comfort, safety and security, you must comply with the following requirements, and all other reasonable directions of any crew member on your flight with us, when on board: seek consent before filming or photographing Qantas Group staff, contractors or other customers” Passengers are still able to film themselves and out of the plane window.
