Glassdoor names Delta among ‘Best Places to Work’ for 8th year
Delta has been ranked on Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” list for the eighth year, as No. 13 on the list and the only airline. Glassdoor rankings are based on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback on their daily jobs, benefits, interview experience and work environment to determine the top 100 U.S. large companies. Delta’s reviews contributed to several top-rated workplace factors, including high scores for diversity & inclusion, culture & values, and career opportunities.
“At Delta, we will always listen to our people and invest in every aspect of their Delta experience to help them be their best and to deliver the best experience for our customers” said Joanne Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer. “We are honored to receive this recognition again. It’s a testament to the people-first culture we have here at Delta – one built on mutual trust and commitment.”
The invaluable input from Delta people has led to many enhancements and investments in the employee experience in the last year, including:
Industry leading pay for industry leading performance, with a competitive salary, annual profit-sharing program and shared rewards for eligible employees.
A robust financial education and literacy program at no cost – which enables eligible employees to earn $1,000 towards an eligible emergency savings account when they complete the financial and coaching program and contribute to the account.
An increase in the representation of women, Black talent and Latin and Hispanic talent in roles across the company, continuing to provide updates through the Close the Gap strategy.
Help for our people to build their families through fertility support, adoption and surrogacy assistance, enhanced family leave and caregiving support.
A new employee assistance program provider to deliver personalized, convenient care and resources to support Delta people through any of life’s challenges, including 12 free mental health counseling sessions and 6 free coaching sessions per year.
A continuous focus on the employee experience, such as enhanced flexibility in managing work schedules.
Glassdoor determines which companies make the list during a year-long eligibility period, where employees must meet certain criteria. Employers considered for the U.S. large companies list must have received at least 75 ratings for each of the nine workplace attributes – overall company rating; career opportunities; diversity and inclusion; compensation and benefits; culture and values; senior management; work-life balance; recommend to a friend; and six-month business outlook. The final list is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary awards algorithm, led by its Economic Research Team, and takes into account quantity, quality and consistency of reviews. Delta’s top rated workplace factors are Diversity & Inclusion, Culture & Values and Career Opportunities. Your Positive Business Outlook was 83%, above the 77% average of other U.S. Large Top 100 list winners.
