Aviation Named Belgium’s Most Attractive Industry to Work In – Brussels Airlines Leads the Sector
Work atmosphere, job content, and future opportunities cited as top reasons for appeal
The aviation sector has been recognized as the most attractive industry to work in across Belgium, with Brussels Airlines emerging as the top employer within the sector. These findings come from an extensive study by Randstad, a leading Belgian human resources service provider. Known for its ongoing investment in people, Brussels Airlines is committed to maintaining and even further reinforcing its position as an employer of choice.
According to research by Randstad, a human recourses service provider, into the Belgian labour market, the aviation industry tops the list of most desirable sectors. Brussels Airlines ranks as the 4th most attractive employer in the country overall, and the number one in aviation, solidifying its reputation as the leading employer in the industry. The study is available here in Dutch and French.
Respondents to the study highlighted a positive work atmosphere, engaging job content, and promising career opportunities as key reasons for their interest in aviation.
“Brussels Airlines wants to grow and become the carrier of choice for our guests, offering a premium experience at every touchpoint. To deliver the best product, we need the best team — and that means being the best employer. We’ve made significant investments in our staff over the years and will continue to do so. We actively listen to our employees and work to improve every day. This recognition makes us truly proud.”
- Jan Ooms, Head of Human Recourses, Brussels Airlines
In 2025, Brussels Airlines plans to welcome 360 new colleagues – nearly one new hire per day. This hiring momentum is set to continue in the coming years as the airline pursues its ambitious growth strategy.
Investing in People, Product, and Passenger Experience
After returning to profitability post-pandemic, Brussels Airlines has made substantial investments in its people, products, and passenger experience. In 2024, the airline concluded new reward agreements with all employee groups, launched a new crew lounge at Brussels Airport, and inaugurated a state-of-the-art training centre in Vilvoorde — among several other initiatives designed to enhance the employee experience.
Passengers are also benefiting from the airline’s transformation. With the introduction of new aircraft, an upgraded lounge, enhanced amenity kits, and upcoming cabin redesigns, Brussels Airlines is delivering improved comfort and service across all travel classes.
