Aer Lingus is welcoming cabin crew applicants right now

The Aer Lingus Cabin Crew Recruitment Campaign is live and accepting applications from 23rd October until the closing date of 30th October for our Dublin based operation and for a limited number of positions at our Cork based operation.

Recruitment Process

1. Apply for the position via our recruitment partners Nobox here.

2. You will receive an email communication from Nobox confirming receipt of your application along with details of next steps.

3. If you are successful in your application you can expect to receive a link to complete your online assessments in due course.

4. Finally, following passing online assessments, you will be invited to one of our Cabin Crew Member Assessment Days which are running from October to December 2023.

At the Assessment Day you will:

Meet with a Nobox representative who will collect your documents and provide you with instructions for the day
Meet a member of the Training Academy who will invite you to complete your one on one Height, Reach and Harness Assessment
Meet a senior member of the Aer Lingus Inflight Services Team who will complete your one on one Uniform Adherence check with you
5. You will receive notification from Nobox regarding the outcome of your assessment and application within 1–2 weeks.

Training and Offering

Successful candidates will embark on an intensive six-week paid training program, hosted at Aer Lingus’ Training Academy in Dublin. Training courses are scheduled to run from January to May 2024, aligning with Aer Lingus’ busy summer flight schedule. Throughout your training you will learn a wide range of topics from theoretical and practical components, health and safety procedures through to grooming and customer experience. Cabin Crew training at the Training Academy are paid a training salary, so you can earn as you train.

As a fully trained and qualified Cabin Crew Member with Aer Lingus you can look forward to earning a competitive basic salary of €28,900 (Gross) plus variable pay and applicable allowances when overnighting on duties away from base. In addition to this we also offer a host of staff travel concessions, contributory pension, discounts with our partner airlines and hotels as well as staff discounts offered in the Loop Dublin Airport, onsite parking, health and fitness club ALSAA reduced cost membership.

Essential Criteria

Minimum age of 18 years
Eligible to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction (i.e. EU Passport Holder or Non-EEA Citizen holding Stamp 4)
Must be able to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas* which is a pre-requisite for the role (for travel to/from the United States)
Hold a valid passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel
12 months combined experience in a face to face customer service/sales role
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Candidates must be able to swim 25m unaided, thread water and board a raft from the water unaided
Flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, unsociable hours, weekends, holidays and overnights
You will be required to complete a height and reach assessment based on our aircraft types as part of the recruitment process
Must adhere to our uniform policy and guidelines. Tattoos/piercings must NOT be visible whilst in any item of the Aer Lingus uniform
Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check**
Two verifiable references
*visa costs to be borne by the candidate initially, however, can be reclaimed via expenses following 6 months successful employment.

**If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries

Desirable criteria

Ability to converse in a second European Language
Previous cabin crew experience and holders of an EASA Attestation of Initial Safety Training issued after April 2014
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
