Your Role: As a Cabin Crew Member at Aer Lingus, you will be the face of our airline, delivering outstanding service and care to our customers. You will be operating on our busy transatlantic and short-haul flights aboard the brand-new Airbus A320 long-range fleet!

Your duties will include

Safety First: Ensuring the safety and well-being of all customers and maintaining the highest safety standards by carrying out your duties in line with company policies/procedures and in accordance with Aer Lingus Operations Manuals and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional Customer Service: Consistently providing excellent customer service onboard, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all passengers and ensuring we maintain and improve on our 4-star Airline Status* Skytrax Awarded. Some of your customer service duties will involve delivering an excellent duty-free inflight retail experience to our customers, serving meals and beverages, and handling special dietary requirements with care and attention.
Problem-Solving: Handling customer queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues effectively, and making every effort to meet and exceed the needs and preferences of all passengers.
Teamwork: At Aer Lingus we believe we are stronger when we work together. You will be collaborating closely with your fellow Cabin Crew Members and flight crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations and create a positive and inclusive onboard environment.
Flexibility: Aer Lingus operate a very busy 365 days per year 24/7 schedule. As a Cabin Crew Member you are required to be flexible to work rostered shifts that include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays, as well as overnighting away from base.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18 years.
Eligible to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction (i.e. EU Passport Holder or valid non-EEA Citizen holding Stamp 4)
Must be able to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas* which is a pre-requisite for the role (for travel to/from the United States).
Hold a valid passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel.
12 months combined experience in a customer service/sales role. Preferably this experience will have been in a face-to-face customer setting.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written*. Please note that our training course is highly academic and will only be conducted through English.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on demonstrating empathy and understanding, building rapport with customers, and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with your customers and colleagues.
Flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, unsociable hours, weekends, holidays and overnights.
You will be required to complete a height and reach assessment based on our aircraft types as part of the recruitment process.
Must adhere to our uniform policy and guidelines. Tattoos/piercings must NOT be visible whilst in any item of the Aer Lingus uniform.
Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check.

Remuneration Package: A competitive Cabin Crew Member basic salary of €29,883.26 (Annual Gross) plus variable pay of, on average, €6500 p.a. (Gross). Applicable allowances when overnighting on duties away from base.

Please note the following

1. The cost of obtaining a US Visa is a cost to be borne solely by the candidate initially, however, can be reclaimed via expenses following 6 months of successful employment.

2. The cost of obtaining an EASA approved medical is a pre-requisite for the role and any associated costs are the sole responsibility of the candidate.

3. If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from those country/countries
