Icelandair’s first female pilot flew her last route
This week Icelandir saluted the pioneering Sigríður Einarsdóttir, who joined the Airline 38 years ago and became Icelandair’s first female pilot.
Yesterday she flew her last route, Copenhagen to Keflavík, with water salutes and a guard of honor from our female pilots.
Icelandair warmly congratulate Sigríður on her career and thank her for her important role in paving the way for others. We’re proud to bring the spirit of Iceland to the world: gender equality is a key part of that spirit, and one of our core values 🛫
