The first Airbus A380!

This Aviationtag edition adds a new chapter to the aviation history of the former Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 with the registration 9V-SKA!

After many long years under development, our “Super Airbus” was handed over to Singapore Airlines on October 15, 2007 with the manufacturer serial number (MSN) 003. It was also this very 9V-SKA that flew the first ever scheduled flight on the Singapore-Sydney route as flight number SQ380 on 25 October 2007, thus entering the aviation history books.

With a capacity of up to 853 passengers, the Airbus A380 is the largest mass-produced civil airliner in history and the first to boast two full-length passenger decks.

After just 10 years of taking to the skies for Singapore Airlines, the MSN 003 was retired, transferred to Lourdes/Tarbes (France) and recycled in 2019. This means this Airbus A380 has the distinction of not only being the first of its kind in scheduled service, but also the first to be scrapped.

Aviationtag managed to secure a piece of this historic aircraft and upcycle it into an exclusive and unique limited edition.
